PTFE or Polytetrafluoroethylene is compound that contains fluorine atoms which prevent food from sticking on the surface of the pan. Traditional non-stick cookware may contain PTFE and deteriorate over time when high temperatures are continuously used, resulting in insignificant emissions of fume and toxic substance build up throughout the life of the pan that is harmful.

PFOA or Perfluorooctanoic Acid is also a chemical used in the process of making PTFE. While this is normally burned off during the production process there can be insignificant amounts in the finished product.

Such chemicals like PTFE and PFOA has also been shown to cause cancer and other serious health problems.

The cookware we produce is considered non-toxic primarily due the difference in coating material used. All our cookware is enamel coated with Metaclad+ superior non-stick which eliminate the use of PTFE and PFOA in the manufacturing process altogether.

We test in quality accredited laboratories for heavy metals after each batch of production to ensure we strive on food safety regulations. We rigorously test for any traces of cadmium and other metal deposits such as lead to ensure this is not leached on foods when cooking.
